International Seminar of Industrial Robots Safety

Industrial robots are commonly used equipment for smart manufacturing. In order to understand the safety management policies and regulations of various countries for industrial robots in smart manufacturing, and to share the implementation experience with the industries of various countries to assist our industry in pre-planning safety measures. To enhance occupational safety environment, workers safety and facilitate global economic development, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Taiwan Automation Intelligence and Robotics Association (TAIROA) co-host “International Seminar of Industrial Robots Safety” that took place on October 20, 2021 at the conference room 401 of GIS Taichung Xinwuri Convention Center. This year the seminar invited experts in the field of safety management of machinery and equipment for smart manufacturing from Singapore, Japan, EU and Taiwan industries with participation of local industries total 76 participants (the online participants were 49, and the physical participants were 27) to exchange technical discussion and practices in regard to safety management of Industrial Robots. This seminar prompted opportunities for global communication and possible cooperation while enhancing safety certification capabilities for Taiwan local industries and certification bodies.
