基於百貨業專櫃從業人員，因工作長時間站立，常會有下背痛、足底筋膜炎、足部變形疼痛、腿部靜脈曲張等身體不適之情形，為預防職業性肌肉骨骼疾病等之發生，就坐具之設置及使用應注意事項如下：

各專櫃應允設置適當之坐具，以供勞工必要之使用。
各專櫃設置之坐具，應可調整高度，以符合使用者身高，及提供適當之背部支撐，如勞工於使用時，腳底無法接觸地面，應同時設置適當之腳踏，以避免造成疲勞或不適。
因應連續站立之工作性質，於不影響勞務提供下(如帳務處理或於未有顧客之時段)，並兼顧勞工健康，應允許從業人員使用坐具，以舒緩久站造成的身體疲勞。
對於妊娠中之女性勞工，應考量其健康狀態，彈性調整其坐具使用之頻率，以達母性保護之目的。
