查勞工作業環境監測實施辦法(以下簡稱本辦法)第7條規定略以，設有中央管理方式之空氣調節設備之建築物室內作業場所，應每6個月監測二氧化碳濃度1次以上，及同辦法第11條規定略以，雇主實施作業環境監測時，應設置或委託監測機構辦理。但監測項目屬二氧化碳者，得僱用乙級以上之監測人員或委由執業之工礦衛生技師辦理。
因上述規定之監測人員資格、測定目的與保護對象與環保署「室內空氣品質管理法」相關規定不盡相同，尚難直接援引，爰設有中央管理方式之空氣調節設備之建築物室內作業場所，雖依環保署「室內空氣品質管理法」規定辦理二氧化碳監測，仍須依本辦法規定定期辦理監測，惟事業單位依室內空氣品質管理法測得之二氧化碳濃度值，得作為勞工作業環境評估及採樣策略之參考。
