近期社會大眾關切有關女性夜間工作之安全衛生，勞動部表示，為維護勞工於工作場所夜間工作的安全與健康，職業安全衛生法已有相關規定，且並未針對勞工性別而有所差異，雇主均應採取危害預防之相關措施。
勞動部進一步說明，職業安全衛生法係課予雇主保障勞工安全健康及預防職業災害之責任，無論勞工之性別均屬該法保障之對象。有關工作場所夜間工作之安全衛生，如：工作場所之進出口、樓梯、廁所及停車場設置適當之照明、停電緊急照明系統或足以辨識之明顯標示等，雇主應依現行職業安全衛生相關法規，採取防止職業災害的安全衛生設備或措施，以維護所有勞工夜間工作安全。此外，為保護可能影響胚胎發育、妊娠或哺乳期間之母體健康，該法亦規定雇主不得使妊娠中及分娩後未滿一年之女性勞工，從事危險性或有害性之工作，同時要求雇主應採取評估、調整或調換工作等健康管理措施。
勞動部呼籲各事業單位，勞工之安全健康為雇主最大之資產，為避免勞工發生職業災害，雇主使勞工從事工作，應在合理可行範圍內，採取必要之預防設備或措施，以維護勞動權益。
