針對職安署1月30日發布之「因應嚴重特殊傳染性肺炎（武漢肺炎）職場安全衛生防護措施指引」，外界誤解各事業單位雇主需使所有勞工配戴口罩一事，本署說明如下：
一、依中央流行疫情指揮中心目前發布訊息，有感染之虞醫療院所，其所有工作者應全程配戴口罩。
二、現無感染之虞的各行業廠場，雇主無需強制勞工一律戴用口罩，如勞工自行配戴也不能禁止。
三、目前口罩已由政府徵調統一配置運用，醫療院所以外其他各類工作場所配戴口罩的必要性及時機，職安署所訂指引會依循中央流行疫情指揮中心的防疫措施辦理
四、現階段除醫療院所外，職安署均採輔導、宣導等措施協助事業單位，雇主無須擔心受罰。
