為推廣勞工健康服務制度及保障工作者安全與健康，「勞工健康保護規則」規定，勞工人數300人以上及從事特別危害健康作業之勞工總人數在100人以上事業單位，應僱用或特約醫護人員辦理健康管理、職業病預防等勞工健康保護事項，為擴大保障工作者的身心健康，該規則前已修正自109年1月1日開始，擴大適用至勞工人數在100至199人的事業單位，並採特約醫護人員之方式辦理(50人至99人者，自111年1月1日施行)。
